By the way ALL $3,160,000 worth of assets will be disposed of and ALL buildings have had the leases terminated early.
There will be a small "wind down" team remaining on Buell Drive for a bit to see to the disposition of everything and handing over ongoing projects (not new product) to Harley-Davidson.
The folks at HD are a bit busy today. |

COURT, happy holidays. When you say NOT NEW PRODUCT that makes me wonder if the new product belongs to someone? and I don't mean harley-davdison. can you go any deeper if not I understand . |

I did have a laugh at that . . . AT THE WORDING . . not you . . . because literally all the 2010 documentation I got was, quite literally, "Black and White".

Everything belongs to HDI. They are licensing some racing stuff to Erik Buell Racing. |

So, Court, have you seen all the facts (in black and white)?
Well I saw haul away dumpsters full of complete Buell motorcycles just dropped in there on top of each other. Why would you just destroy so many new bikes if you were going to build something again? It's very disgusting. |

Court, Isabella is now 1yr and 7mo. old and riding a bicycle called a stride. It has no training wheels and no pedels just scoot along as she goes. She also is a monster, she has very good motor skills and is very smart like my wife. Good combo for a future buell road racer. You SAW . . or you saw PICTURES of . . that, at nearly any manufacturing company, is an annual event.
Ducati does it, Porsche (I have photos of R&D 911's being crushed somewhere) does it and so does Waring Blender.

Been away for awhile..have to say I was heartbroken to hear the news..
Really enjoyed my XB & had hopes of grabbing another down the road.

Leases are often a five year term with payments written off yearly. Mortgages on commercial property are depreciated over a set number of years. The choice between purchasing a building or leasing one is rather a matter of business plan and/or available funds. Had Harley put the money up for the building, and closed Buell, they would still have either a mortgage or a factory space to sell in this current market. Buying out the leases was less expensive. |

Most corporations only lease buildings .... tax advantage, lower cash outlay etc. |

As do many small businesses and that is a major factor yesterday and today-when the economy takes a swing.It is amazing to find the businesses whom for 40-50years leased property,property that has had little upkeep for so many years. |

I just recieved a Buell promo pack from Deeley HD in Canada..It included a 2010 CDN Buell Brouchure and a letter stating that they will only be authorized service providers once all Buells are sold off..it lists the service depos on the back...
Do you want this for your collection on Buell?
