Jim, Buckmaster and Gobert will definately be in the next group. Spies possibly. Everyone else on your list will not be racing in the 200.

Aaron Gobert was in the first group. Everyone else is still listed in the FX rider list.

You can only ride in two events, and it looks like Spies and the Haydens will be in Supersport and Superbike.

We'll have to see who qualifies.

Jim, because of Barney's injury Geoff May will be racing all four events.

To answer Daves question "How cool is that?" I'll provide the answer.-

Positively Cryogenic. Think like liquid Helium cool.

And Court, "Racing, my friend, is the only thing more fickle than love".-

That is an accurate statement.

Steve:

Right you are, sorry you can't be here. If you need help or suggestions on how to hold a "Remote Buell Daytona Gathering", contact the Aussies. . . they are already laying in supplies and arranging a 3AM (their time) phone call and commlink to the track.

By the way, I have your address. . send shirt size. . no reason you can't at least LOOK like a real BUELL RACER!

Court, many thanks. We have already got the Daytona racing worked out. We have it live via SKY TV. I will be GLUED to the TV and if that darn DVD recorder works, we'll have it recorded for posterity too. I have sent my wife on a training course to Sony UK in order to learn how to use the DVD recorder! LOL!

I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to Buell returning to Daytona. I'm hoping for a podium finish. I know the elves can do it. But I don't care. The fact that Buell are there is enough for me.

I am in Florida with the family four weeks too late to make it to the races. Can you believe it!!! What bad timing. The story of my life.

If you can ship me a shirt that would be wonderful, size is XL and I'll settle via PayPal if that's OK?

No need to settle. . . do me a favor and just drop the folks at Warr's a note and say THANK YOU for playing a role in the success of BUELL RACING.

Let them know their efforts are being seen and appreciated by Buell enthusiasts around the world.

Hi Court, OK exchange is no robbery etc.... I've already had a chat via UKBEG with the folks in HD/BUK, but fair comment, when the dust has settled I'll have to remember to give Martin S a call and congratulate them. I care not how far the bike goes. The fact that they are they are there with Jeremy McW is enough for me.

(Ofcourse, I hope for better. Much better. But being there is enough.)

Ok, question...

Our XB's in stock form are quite miserly, getting 40+ miles to a gallon. I'm sure that the RR is not *that* good on the gas, but I wonder if it's probably better than the IL4's in this respect. Maybe not.

Anyway, this leads me to ask - are there limits on the amount of gas that a bike can carry, relative to / equalized for, the other bikes in the race (as is the case with engine power output)?

Could the RR carry an advantage in respect to fuel usage? [leading to fewer pit stops...]

Or is the amount of fuel regulated by engine type?

Martin Szlagowski from Warrs seemed like a really good guy.

We should make an effort to contact the dealerships behind each team after Daytona to thank them.
The various team's commitment to the RR project is impressive.
It was a joy to watch them at work in Daytona (until I had to leave)

Good luck guys. There are a lot of people that can't be there that are pulling for you!

BTW: My son Kyle would also like to thank all the guys that contributed to his Daytona Souvenir.

One more thing, yesterday someone posted pictures of the Sundance Harley Racer from Japan, does anyone know how they did, and what class they were running in? Last time I saw them they were running against The Britten, now that takes balls. That is a really cool private effort with a XL bottom end grafted with XR style heads. Thanks.............STEVE

Did you guys see on Superbike Planet, they are saying XB-RR legality WILL be challenged after the race. Jeez.

I cant wait for the AMA to tell them to stick it. The bike is clearly legal. The American Honda guy who Speed interviewed during qualifying summed it up I think. When they asked him why they were racing in the 200 but not FX for the rest of the season he said, among other things, Daytona is the start of the bike sales season, and a 600cc win there is very important for sales.

If Buell does well, or even, WINS the Daytona 200, you might not get to be very picky on the color choice of your Firebolt, they will be flying off the dealer floors so fast.

The big boys are scared.

Brian, I've known Martin since the late 90's, when I tested an XR1000 that Warrs were selling.

He's always had time to chat, offer help and advice, and he's worked with the product for years. Top geeza!

Running in the top ten for most of the race is not a bad effort considering the amount of development and practice time the team had.

We all would have been happier with a better finish, however the season is just beginning.

This is just the beginning!
