With every other Buell model except for the Firebolt and Blast being significantly freshened, doesn't Erik owe it to us to give us what we've been waiting for? A Buell XB13RR. This bike would be a street legal, detuned version of The XBRR. The bike would be priced slightly higher than the current XB, but far less than 30K. Is Buell capable of offering its loyalists such a bike? Could such a high performance bike be reliable and encourage rival sportbike riders to slow down a bit and come into HD/B dealerships?

Here! Here! I can hardly wait until versions of this engine become standard in all Buells. How about a 650cc Blast with half of an RR engine?

A redone blast? That would be cool. Hey by the way, is it true that there's no speed limit in Montana?

I was think of a 660 Blast also, but I think the more interesting bike would be the 660 Ulysses. At Dakar.

Nope there is a speed limit in Montana. The no speed limit lasted only 2 years, they had to reinstate it because they where threatened with a major reduction in federal funding for the highways.

I would love to see a new XB??R. That would be the only thing I would sell my 9R for. The 12r is cool, but not much different from what I have now. A new bike would get my full attention.

I agree Buellin_ri, I'm really hoping there's an updated Firebolt on the way soon. I was thinking of trading my 03 9R in on an 07 Firebolt this year anyway but if it's got some significant changes that'll seal the deal for sure.

*These are just my thoughts*

There is no way that RR parts will make it to a street bike for '07.
Product development takes ALOT of time.
Longetivity testing takes ALOT of time.

Buell is going to be sure of the reliability of the product they bring to market.

After time on the race circut and plenty of hard testing on the bench and in the field, then those parts would be fit for the retail market. I really dont expect to see LARGE changes for '07. There was a significant amount of changes this year to existing bikes and the addition of 2 new models. '08? maybe, depends on the reliability of the new parts.

would love to see one soon, but it would work so much better for me if it was alittle while before a redesign came out for the street.

then i could just keep both my r's and get the new one too!!!!
