Thanks to all on the congrats for the twins. All (mom & boys) are well, but sleep is scarce. I've shown the twins a gantt chart that details the requirements for 3-4 hours of simultaneous sleep between night feedings, but they're just not following it yet. ;)

Good news guys! Or I think it's good news. Maybe it's not. Actually, I wouldn't really know. At least not from first hand experience, so to speak.

Anyone put a cooling fan or an oil cooler on an M2? It is hot as hell here in Florida.

Laguna Seca Roundup...

A bunch of us left LA for Laguna Seca World Superbike Races last Thursday, only to find Al Lighten's 99 S3T with a problamatic throttle cable (which he admitted was the one of the only things he didn't check with his 20K mile checkup). The group checked into Santa Maria (CA) HD-Buell to find....none in stock. Fancy that. BUT, with one S3T on the floor, Curtis Treadway, a salesman, offered up the floor model cable for Al. Total cost...$14! Way to go Santa Maria and Curtis! That is Buell service Deluxe. Not to mention, the 2002 S3T, wide bags, is avail for $9K OUT THE Door! It is Blue with black frame. They are also blowing XB's and Lightenings out the door for only $8,900...

For once, Highway 1 was traffic free...imagine 90mph on the coast...Big Sur, Carmel, you name it, we were flying...fog free too!

Thanks again Curtis and the staff of Santa Maria HD-Buell for 'doing the right thing'. As a trade off, all of us purchased Buell t-shirts and related stuff. A win-win for everyone.

Steve - you might be looking at the carburetor.

I think he should put the carb in between the turbo and the engine, it looks like he has room.

I see HILLBILLY on his cylinder heads, is he affiliated with the group that made the turbo XB9S - of which photos were floating around the Badweb maybe a month ago?

Seeeu911:
The R.A.N. is on the topics page but, you need to be logged in. I just saw it so I know it's there. BTW it was a great help a few weeks ago when I broke my front motor mount. Thanks again to Scott H.

I had a chance to sample Malaysia Airlines recently.
They have an onboard magazine called 'Going Places'. In the July 2003 edition is a segment on motorcycles which was nice to see. I've just scanned a couple of pictures from it.

I've never seen BMW that looks like that. If you look close at the tank there is a sticker that says rice burner (Honda).

Yes
That brings back memories, That ``BMW`` was actually a HONDA DREAM 300 ccm. It was also marketed with a couple changes in a 300ccm SPORTS model.

JW did point out a bug in the code...
>>
if (responseTime > 0 && responseTime <0.01)
responseString="You are the king!"
if (responseTime >.01 && responseTime <.05 )
responseString="You have the reflexes of a snake";
>>
a .01 reaction gets you no message.

Peter,

Ya, you big tall dude(s) have elongated slow twitching muscles. The damn signal takes to long to get to your old brain to process the sensation. Hey, Nothing to feel ashamed about, just the drawback of being tall.

The blue Honda above is a Benly, probably a 125, circa 1958 to 1962-ish. It was sold as a factory club racer, complete with close-ratio transmission. A radical factory sport bike in '60!
