Mr. Smart Blake, or anyone else, what are the dimensions of a container that will hold 1.2 gallons? Thanks

12"x12"x12" leaving a little room for slosh.
It's not very aerodynamic though.

Roc,

Smart Blake left the building a long time ago. :)

Ignorant me did find that 1.2 Gallons (US) is 0.16 cubic FT.

And 0.16 cubic FT works out to a 6.5" cube.

http://lubricants.s5.com/converter.htm has an online conversion application.

Mike, a cubic FT holds roughly 7.5 gallons. :)

Soooooo....

Just how much wood can a woodchuck chuck?

Now if salmon "A" leaves the head of the stream at noon. At the same time salmon "B" starts upstream. At what time will they meet in Sarasota?

That can't be right, a 5-gallon g.i. can looks bigger than a cubic foot. You sure you didn't slip a decimal point there someplace?????

It may look bigger, but it ain't. :) A cubic foot of water weighs around 64 pounds!

Check this out... TBG is selling a minority stake (33.5%) of Ducati. Nows your chance HD.

Shoot, didn't get back here in time to change that.:)
Just looked it up, a gallon is 231 cubic inches.
Start squaring off those round corners and you can really pack a bunch of liquid in a relatively small space.

Any container with a volume of 0.16 cu.ft. at 73 degrees should do. That is equivalent to a cubic container with dimension of 0.54 feet on each side.

Blake,

Didn't you know that ASTM decided that water weighs 62.24 lbs in some specification, and 62.4 in others at standard laboratory conditions. Go Figure.

The Salmon never make it to Sarasota. They get caught and are tonights dinner.

And about 2.23 face ricks.

A light bulb has "zero resistance"?? Now I've heard everything. Sounds like you could benefit from a quick lesson in electrical circuits...

anyone: what are the dimensions of a container that'll hold Blake's head?

Mr. X,

Regarding your question about the X1 instrument panel. Try www.r-r-customizing.de, they have what you're looking for.

I said "just about zero resistance". I guess it's all in one's perspective.

Three ohms is not a lot of resistance, and I'm *guessing* that the noids cary a lot more impedence than that....Which was the point I was trying to make.

Lord forgive them.......they, the survivors of "Contact Pacth" and "To Synthisize or not to Synthisize" know not what they do.....

The question was on the level of 5th grade arithmetic. I say give them (I hold the Engineers to blame for this) two weeks and the answer will emerge :)

Where in the good name of all that is high and holy does COURT come off thinking he has any room to ridicule this group?

........oh, yeah....wazdaanswer?

Will Harley-Davidson Hit the Wall?

You know there is a story like this that comes out every year, I guess they figure they'll be right eventually, then they'll shout "SEE I TOLD YOU SO" when they were wrong for 11 out of 12 years!

Scott,

Court's right too. I made a big math error, since corrected. :] How about 48 ohms for a 3W 12 V bulb?

Anyone had their bike hoisted ? I spent all of Monday in bed sick. Today I'm well enough to run errands and found my X1 gone. I've been riding on and off for years, but I'm a first time motorcycle owner.

-What are the odds of recovery ?
-Buells are pretty niche and somewhat rare bikes, would mine be in the local area ? Chopped and used in what else ?
-If recovered and some extra mileage (not by me) is incurred, what else should the shop looked at if my bike has been on its side ?

Rod, is there something you aren't telling us?

Post the VIN and description on the quick board in a Boosted Bikes topic.

Rob - I think Rocket was refering to my problem (no spark) not Scott's.

Capt. - Perhaps you are right! If I can only figure out a way to stay "AGRESSIVELY" clam. And yes, Brother, I remember you mentioning the kill switch - I just need to hear something at least three times before I actually do it (and I suspect you can relate to that). Oh, and you know what else? That Jerry fella ain't half bad!

As far as the electrical debate goes, is there a big difference between noids and nads?

Jose'

I've been saying that since I bought my Sportster in 1996. That's why I didn't buy any stock back then.

You mean I may finally be right?
