Watch your dealers....rumor mill is churning out rebates on at least the X1 tubers to get them off the floor and out the door.

Shooter, Henry can be reached at 262-642-2020. Like Mike said, he's rarely there. Always at the races. What a job, eh. But he does get back to you when he's back on campus. If you're looking for a cell # for when he's not there, you're SOL. Either he ain't got one or they ain't tellin'. Other than that, maye you can try him at home, but that might be considered rude. That number according to a white pages search is xxx-yyy-zzzz. edited by Admin I figure if it's on the internet, it's fair game! hehe

Please....don't call Henry Duga at home. This guy works hours you can't beleive.

In the event you have something that is an emergency, leave him a message. Henry is tops among the Buell folks for getting back to you.

Remember...a message is "Henry, I need to know if there is a place I can get ____" or "any idea how to keep ____ from happening"...NOT "gimme a call". Help him, help you.

I'll second Court's message. I left a message for Henry Duga at the office and he called me back twice in an effort to get ahold of me after he returned from the races. I would not recommend crossing the line between work and home, especially when the guy is already very responsive.

Just my opinion, do with it what you may.

Blake, 'strong' not 'wrong', incidently, there should be a warning when I enter that area you assigned me, something like Dante's, "Abandon faith all ye who enter here".

I'm working on it, as I get more comfortable I'll do more. Thanks for the assignment, its kinda fun.

X1 Rebates?

Ducati has 2 years of free scheduled maintenance for certain models. Triumph, Aprilia, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha also have some incentive programs.

How about the "We're putting our money where our mouth is/Ride away with peace of mind" Buell Promotion, featuring:

0% financing, $500 in Buell accessories, FOUR YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY, ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE, BRAG Membership and a TRACK DAY at one of the BRAG track days during those four years. That way you can learn how to really RIDE and not be worried about our reputation as being unreliable, underpowered and overpriced.....

Would that help to move them out? Hell, I'll buy a new X1 given those incentives.

Don't forget they are not only competing in the new bike market, there are screaming deals on USED Buells, and these prices will drop as the NEW bikes keep getting discounted.

Definetly a buyer's market, just like in Wall $treet.........

Jose,

If only Aprilia or Triumph would offer a free diamond engagement ring for your wife because you never bought her one, it would be golden

A buddy and I were just chatting via AIM and had a great money making idea...

Now, just released, the "ChickenHawk D207s". A front and rear tire that come from the factory with the middle tread perfect, but the edges totally shredded with great big globs of ripped up rubber.

Who needs track days, get that freshly ripped look direct from the factory!

Whadda all think? We could throw in a set of carbon fiber "race flip flops" and a Kevlar reinforced tank top at no extra charge...

Or maybe I am trolling the wrong demographic here...

"You may want to check the play in your primary chain."

The dealership mentioned they adjusted it when they looked at it. so it should be OK. I hope.

quick question: stock 02 M2. add forcewinder and buell slip fit muffler. Re-jet. How much of a performace boost will that give me. is it really worth it? or is that just the foundation for other mods where the real power comes.

Thanks all, I am mechanically inept but have learned a lot on this board.

Not always a good assumption until your confidence in them has been verified and certified. Hopefully it is and they are.

Good idea on the right place: You have not to spend any extra money on production costs. You deliver us only new tires and you get them back with the side walls as shredded as you wish, totally for free, or maybe for a minimal amount. How about that?

I do love Ducati's also but I find that the price tag and the maintenance is way to expensive for what you can get out of other makes. And the maintenance that Ducati needs comes back too often compare to other brands.

HighOctane,
Apart from dealerships you can try the BadWeb sponsers, and you can also try TeamElves for racier stuff. I've also seen items Buell related at thrift shops and rummage sales. Or you can just make your own.

Hello All.
I've been hanging around for a few weeks now so I guess I should say hello.
I live in Naples, FL. and ride with the local Buell group. The Everglades Street Fighters includes Naples and Fort Myers area. We're a small group and non Buell bikes are welcome to ride with us.
This group really has a vast amount of Buell info.

HD/Buell of Ft. Washington MD, has some Buell T-Shirts for $10! They also have hats, gloves and other clothing at deep discounts. They want to move the "tube frame era" stuff out of the way for the "new" stuff.

Call them at 1-888-HDF-EVER and see if they'll sell you some and ship them to you.

Hey all,
I turn to your collective wisdom once again to figure out a minor problem I'm having with my '00 X1. It has the race ECM, K&N filter without airbox mods (I like the midrange snort the tube gives over the topend kick with the venturi ring...) and a Supertrapp IDS- 15 disks.
The bike has begun to bog when I twist it WFO at low RPM's, say 2-3K. It bogs and skips until the R's build. Performance is normal at mid throttle, and cruising, and pulls to top end clean.
I replaced the spark plugs, and earlier in the season I checked it for intake manifold leaks, found none, but I haven't checked it since this problem started.
Also, I never had the TPS reset after I installed the race ECM. The bike has an occasional stumble right off idle, but this has been its only problem till now.
Any thoughts?

Ben T.,

Like Rall said... Have your dealer calibrate the new race ECM with your TPS; then hold on tight.
