I have a race header and muffler for my M2 but still need a header shoe. Thought that I had one bought but no luck. I would even take a damaged one if good enough to use as a template.

Also interested if anyone has the measurements of one so that I could get one made.

Please...

If I can buy one, I'm going to try a few places to see if I can get a few made.

For all those who are in need of a race header shoe, I have a question.

Is anyone running the updated exhaust hanger bracket?

I know I used to burn through race header shoes on my S2 before I updated to the y-bracket style exhaust hanger. But since more bikes have been added to my fleet, the miles haven't been put on the S2 like in the past so I don't know if there is a correlation or not. If it turns out that the y-bracket helps the race header shoe live, I would wonder why anyone wouldn't update to the y-bracket.

Just some thoughts that were bouncing around inside my noggin...

Brankin,
The header shoe will fit either the original hanger bracket or the more durable Y bracket. I have the "header shoe" installed on the Y bracket on two of my tube-frame bikes. No issues - 10 k on one, 15K on the other since installation.
The Y bracket is definitely worth installing on any tube frame - regardless of exhaust.

The Race Header 'Shoe' looks like it's functionality could be fashioned from a visit to a hardware store. It just attaches a round clamp to a bolt, and needs to very sturdy, perhaps even 'fail-safe'. Not sure if allowing a bit of movement at this point would help, or hurt.

The same guy who did the Stenzel Stutze thingie for the engine mounts also came up with a substitute for the Race Shoe.
