Just picked up an '01 M2 on a tight budget, the PO said the tank paint was bubbling so he sanded it down, at first I was looking for a replacement tank in factory black paint. After getting it home and upon closer inspection I see that I need a little more. So, with that being said, I am looking for: -complete set of bodywork in any color in excellent condition, or -tailpiece, cowl, whatever the doggone thing is called, as mine has had some sloppy repairs done to it -seat in good shape -stock air box -possibly a header if I don't just cover this frankenheader in header wrap I'd also like to know if anyone has a better idea on how to mount the can that is on it now (will probably post in another section) as there are no mounts on the can itself and it is only supported by the header clamp and a muffler clamp on the outlet, seems like trouble waiting to happen! | ||

I have a can of flat black primer! Seriously it looks pretty good, except for the tank. If you can find the instructions for the race muffler retainer safety kit, it has a way to hold it up with steel cable, that could be rigged up cheap with no welding. The air filter thingie looks way better than the stock one, looks like it needs a big pegasus logo on it or something. Is that header ceramic coated? Doesn't look stock. Headers are infrequently cheap if in good condition. | ||

She's really in pretty good shape, cosmetics just need a little massaging. Hypercharger reminds me too much of a Harley, though maybe if I painted it or something it wouldn't look so bad. Header is very silver, probably was ceramic coated, it has an o2 bung so I know it's not the right one for an M2, otherwise I would probably just header wrap it and forget it... | ||

Not sure where you are , if your not in Australia it might not be worth it with postage , but I have a stock airbox , they look terrible though ,I also have a carbon fibre buell race airbox id sell ,there about 300 new but id give you this one for 100 plus postage as Ijust put a forcewinder on mine .Not sure why you want another seat though , if that ones cover is tatty youd get it recovered cheaper than buying another . |
