I am reluctantly putting out feelers to sell "Mad Max", last year's project. She is about 95% done, I spent last year working on it when I was laid off, now thankfully I just work too much and am too burned out to finish her up. I bought her as a cosmetically-challenged bike (read CRAZY PO) last year, tore her down, stipped all paint and repainted, and replaced any parts that were "iffy" (there were a lot)! Basically she needs the brakes and clutch cable hooked up, rear tail refinished (I was gonna polish it,) and reinstalled. Free and clear title, never down, only issue is an "odometer discrepancy", it was a repo and I guess the gauge cluster was missing, the bike shop I bought it from replaced the cluster. I have all of the parts to complete the bike minus a few nuts and bolts, it has a complete set of bodywork (Valencie Orange transparent air box cover and flyscreen (with new decals and CityX "X"), black fender and chin fairing), Jardine muffler, the seat and tailsection, mirrors, etc. that are not pictured here. Just wanted to mention that it is a complete bike! | ||

is the title clean? is this in any kind of condition to atleast fire up to hear the motor? thats an 11 hour drive each way... wish i could find someone coming this way or even part way... | ||

It's got a clean title, not salvage or anything like that. It was a fully-assembled bike when I bought it, not a box of parts or a basketcase, it just looked too horrible to ride more than around the block in the shape it was in originally so I tore it down and started redoing everything immediately. I'm not sure if it could be fired up or not the way it sits, the electronics in the tail might have to be hooked back up in order to do so? | ||
