What do you need to know? Let me see, it has a 318, not a 6 cyl crapper. Its an auto and I believe its a 727 torque flight. It has a 8 3/4 rear and I guess thats the hot rear end for the Dodge hot roders. If theres any thing else just let me know, thanks. | ||

Yes, the 8-3/4 rear is the ticket for hotrodders like myself. Reason is, you can swap the 'pumpkin' to change rear end ratios without having to remove bearings and disassemble everything, and re-set it up. The ring and pinion are mounted to the pumpkin and come out as a unit. Need a ratio change? Grab a quart of fluid, a jar of snake oil (limited slip lube), and a 5/8 wrench. Give it about 30 minutes and you'll have it done. Got the same axle in my '72 Satellite wagon  Very cool old Mopar. Surprised it's a 318, most had the Leaning Tower of Power Slant Six, LOL. My wife thinks its a good thing you're on the "wrong" coast!! |
