Up for sale is a "streetfighter" seat/tail

It was taken off a 2000 M2, because its not all to comfortable

There is some wear and tear on the fiberglass piece, in particular the seat bolt area:

There is a small crack in the tail as well:

But it has been patched up:

The plate mount has some damage on it as well...

The seat itself is in good shape:

Aside from the wear on the plastic frame, which do not seem to affect anything...

I am sure this seat will fit other tube frame Buells.
In fact it is probably supposed to go on another model as the frame of the M2 had to be trimmed and bent.

Looks like a S1 tail to me. The bike looks like it had its framed reworked to fit the S1 tail section.

Indeed it does appear to be an S1 tail...
Did the S1 come with a fiberglass one from the factory?
Or is this some sort of aftermarket part?

Xldevil,
I would much rather sell this as a set,
as I am not sure if it is compatible with the stock configuration etc...

Oh yes...
To tell you the truth I have no idea how much this thing is worth.
I looked up some prices from the past and the one you posted for the seat...
So I guess $100ish for the pair + shipping

If you could check the trimmed measurements of your bike, it'd get me real close to sending you a bill for it.

Brentmiller,
The bike is not mine...
so I cannot get the measurement right away.
But I think I will be able to get a measurement by tomorrow...
Although I do have a "representation" of what has been done using another buell frame:

The red sections were cut out, and the green bent. The support beam that attaches to the green section was then re-welded.

I have not been able to get in touch with the owner of the cyclone... so I cannot get measurements.
What I can say, is that it is not a simple trim...
I had to use a 6 ft pipe to bend the frame back into shape for the stock arrangement.
It would be much easier to just pop it on an S1...

yeah, I agree. There just is no simple way.

I'd hate to hatchet it that much.

Thanks,
Brent

PM me your address or just the zip...

Well is looks like USPS is cheapest at 24$ + fees which they fail to inform me of...
It would be great if we can perhaps share the shipping costs...
If not its alright as well...
Best,
Peter

P.S.
so did you decide to modify the cyclone frame to work with that tail?

Cyclonemduece,
I have not heard from you in a while...
Do you still want the tail?
Just let me know

Well in that case I guess the tail section + seat are still up for grabs...
Although I think I will relist this one under a proper name...
