Neil,

Did you get the instructions with yours? If not, look at this (it will be hard to read until you save the image and print it on a letter sized sheet):

If that does not give you enough info to make a bracket, I can send you a sketch of mine.

Send me a mailing address to jacker at midmaine dot com and I'll send you a full sized tracing of it with dimensions if you would prefer that.

Jack

I guess I need this bracket as well. I got these bags and didn't know they were supposed to come with a bracket.

Yeah, I also got the bags without bracket.
They do seem to work without it, I'm not sure how much value it adds.

Jack, what does the bracket do? Does it look worth the the trouble of making one?

The bracket bolts up under the seat frame from the bottom. In place, it has two sort of hooks, one on each side, that go through loops on the bags and support the weight and also keep them from pushing back in towards the tire area.

Then, with the two straps that go down and around the passenger peg mounts pulling the bags down and forward against the bracket, you have a stable mounting that won't flop around any yet is quickly and easily removed.

I sent Nevrenuf some measurements from the bracket so he could make one. Maybe you can get him to make some for you guys too?

Here is the drawing with the measurements:

I guess I was one of the few owners of those bags that was smart enough to remove the bracket before I sold the bike. :>;)

I had the bags on my M2 once for a test ride just to get a feel for them and they seemed to work fine. I had them stuffed with some jackets and stuff, not a lot of weight in them, but they were not noticeable in any way.

The bags were not easy to find when I was looking for them.

Jack

the last one i had made was out of stainless so if you other guys want one right away, the more i get made the cheaper it will be to get done. let me know if your interested or if you have an easier way to get them manufactured let me know.

Yes, I want one as well, if they can be made for less than, what, $20 - $40?

What's the cost/price range we're talking about here?

I would like one, but I don't want to sound like money is no object, it always is...
