Hey guys,
I've been doing a little research on air flow. Our carbs are venturi style carbs. If I remember correctly, the stock air box had a bellmouth somewhere on it. Would incorporating the bellmouth into a free flowing intake help? If I stuck the K&N filter for the stock air box into a 3" pvc tube (or whatever the largest diameter of the coned K&N filter is) with one end of the PVC fitted with the bellmouth and the other end going into some flex pipping which goes into the carb would that help increase air flow? -Assuming I got the radius of the bend of the flex pipping within the right range so not to restrict air flow. My main reason is I could get the filter out from under my leg and route the flex piping and pvc behind the cylinder and out next to it on my left hand side. Pro's, Con's? Your thought are appreciate!
