i was wondering if someone could tell me how to get the cable off the clutch. do i have to loosen the clutch itself? this is making me crazy not to mention hurting my fingers. lol thanks

Loosen the cable sleeve by turning the lock nut and adjuster so the cable sleeve is shortest. Then at the handle bar lever end take the sleeve and pull it away or out from the lever bracket, that loosens the cable and frees it so you can do anything you want with it.
To take the end out of the primary cover you need to remove it from the clutch arm. To do that remove the adjustment cover, then the lock nut, then screw the adjusting screw all the way into and through the adjusting nut, that will let you remove the clutch arm from the housing to get at the other end of the cable. The cable housing now unscrews from the primary cover.

Pay attention not to over tighten the housing when where it screws into the primary cover and do not over tighten the adjusting nut on the cable also.

got it thanks dude. i didnt realize i had to take the piece with the arm on it completely off to get the cable off

You could get it off without taking the arm off, but it's much easier to take the arm off.
