Anyone ever look into mounting hard bags on the blast? I was thinking of using the small GIVI side cases.... I need bags to carry my stuff, and dont like leaving my soft bags on the bike. Maybe fabin a mount kit for a givi wing rack and top case? Make a baby Uly....

MAUTAZU has some cheap stuff also, but the mounting system is not as nice, no single lock system, and the side bags have no quick disconnect

If you succeed please post your results, I'd be very interested in seeing how to do this and posibly repeating the process if the current gas prices continue

already have soft bags. i wanted hard bags i can lock on the bike. the bracket may work as a mount point, but its kind of pricey. can probably make something for alot less, but that would look nicer.

I agree with Gbaz, I've had soft bags for nearly 8 years...they work but in the rain like yesterday sealed hard bags would be very nice

there are some cheap $60-$100 hard bags on ebay i was thinking of picking up a set to bolt on. using 2 steel strips mounted under the tail to the frame under the seat. and if they are too big i can mount em on my v-star. i have been thinking of making it a bagger anyway.

k, my bags will be here in a few days, now im thinking about how to mount them without drilling into the frame. I was thinking of using steel strips mounted under the rear plastic but on top of the steel sub frame that would come under the plastic lip then turn up or down as a mounting point (depending on what the mounting height is going to be). does that sound sane to everyone?

I haven't actually done anything, but I've contemplated setting up a bracket by mounting it to the hook holes that are under there right now. I think short bolts and big washers should hold up nicely.

bags arrived, not too bad for $70. the plastic is thick, and they smell really bad.... The wife made me put them outside. I will try to remember to take some pics before i start drilling holes.
