Rick-

That's a good question. It seems that since the 4 valver is only increasing the number of valves, the only additional valvetrain mass would be from the valves themselves and a bit more rocker arm mass to manage the additional valves. The number (and mass?) of the pushrods isn't changing... I think...

That's the way I understand it to be...

...and I have evidence proving that the stock Blast arm need not be lengthened to fit a 17" Buell wheel.

shock was probably moved - a little cutting and welding, and filling($535.00 in SF,Ca - about 1/2 everywhere else) Your talking about 3/4 of an inch with the shock moving half of that. if even that much was altered - I went w/quarter inch and no shock movement. In the dark-side - keep blasting!

wouldn't a 2&1/4 inch fr. header (from another Buell type) and a supertrap 4" w/ 16 disc.s do the trick for exhaust? Don't know - why not though? Keep Blasting!

Is'nt the header pipe on the 1200cc Buells 21/4" and the front header pipe would that be transferable?

The head pipes on the 1200's are 1-3/4" ... they come into a 2" collector on non-thunderstorm motors and a 2-1/2" collector on thunderstorms.

The Blast has the same flange and port but immediately necks the pipe down to 1-5/8".

Definitely workable. Particularly with a tunable muffler like that.

I believe Brian's initial estimate was sometime in July. Check my first post in the archives.
