I know the bike and if someone is looking for the most pristine example of an RS1200 . . . this would be a chance. |

Hey Rex - The RSS tailsection will fit but you need a new subframe to hold it. Then you have the footpeg bows on the frame to deal with. |

The RSS tailsection will fit but you need a new subframe to hold it. Then you have the footpeg bows on the frame to deal with. Maybe I'm reading it wrong... The mainframe between the RS and RSS is exactly the same. The footpeg bows are on the RS rear subframe, whereas the RSS rear subframe does not have the footpeg bows. I can't say with 100% authority, but I'd suspect that an RSS tail section (bodywork) will bolt right up on an RS rear subframe without any issues. Sure, you'd have the unusable passenger pegs, but... Old School is SO COOL! 1313 |

I can't say with 100% authority, but I'd suspect that an RSS tail section (bodywork) will bolt right up on an RS rear subframe without any issues. After thinking about this some yesterday, I kinda think the structure on the RS rear subframe for the flip up rear seat might cause some interference against the RSS tail section (bodywork). But then again, it may not... Expert = Someone who has made every possible mistake in a narrow field of specialty, 1313 |
