You know, for about $5.00 a poster, we can have these done in mass quantities (500). Anybody interested in doing this? It would save people a ton of money.

Court,

Would a per-approved non-profit hardcopy effort be acceptable if headed up hear on BadWeB?

http://www.printpelican.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=p osters.poster&product_id=10&

For qty >1000, less than $2 ea including insertion into shipping tubes for 36 x 24 size.

Print Pelican also provides drop shipping service. Looks like we could provide the posters shipped at cost for under $7.

Thanks a ton Court. My cousin prints "pasties" (ya know, those nifty nipple stickers that we see women wearing on occasion) on huge sheets. Thats where mine will get printed.

Great find, Blake! If this would be an acceptable use of the electronic files, I am in for a couple posters.

just rec'd a 'friendly' quote for super-hi-quality 24x36 of Court's big file -

$96 1st poster, $48 each poster after that -

so, group buys like that outlined above ^^^^^ look even better now !!

is the req'd critical mass already accumulating in this thread
for a group buy of less expensive, hi-quality posters ?

I don't think anyone is in the position to approve any kind of a purchasing deal. HD is is pretty tough on any one SELLING anything, non profit or not. If people were to discreetly, via private channels, set up some sort of group buy than no one would be the wiser about it. I would avoid ANY sort of promotion of this however.

If you post on this board I think you may run afoul of the HD folks. HD legal regularly monitors this place.

Dave (and Court); If someone were to make an item, and were to give it away at some large group event; do you think H-Ds legal Nazis would pursue and/or persecute that individual?

or if someone was to print >1,000 they could give them away and anyone could get one for shipping plus a "handling" fee (of say $5.00)

I could print a hundred or so... And would probably do so for a donation to the "adopt a Buell elf" Homecoming Banquet deal.

Mine aren't printed on poster paper, but on heavy weight Kodak, or HP 36" photo paper.

I'd have to get Blake's approval before I'd even think about doing this.

I'd be happy to donate to the cause, could you ship to those of us that can't make it to Homecoming (assuming you get the green light).

That WOULD be the plan. Let me talk it over with Blake, and the other Homecoming2010 crew. Just to make sure everything is kosher with all of 'em.
