Hello All, just so there is no confusion the Splitlath team opted not to use RSR prepared equipment for the TT. RSR provided equipment for the Macau race. The Macau bikes are back in RSR possession and were not used in the TT.

In case anyone's interested, Brandon Cretu posted a load of pics from IOM to his Facebook page this weekend.

Interesting to watch the on board video of Mark Miller compared to Michael Dunlop's or Guy Martin's on board footage I have sen. You can see how much margin of safety Miller is leaving compared to Dunlop/Martin, who use a lot more road!

Mich Grant was asked by Jamie Whitham what the best position would be on the road for a fast lap of the course.

Mick replied, 'Stay in the middle of the road all the way around lad'

JW: 'Is that the fastest line then?'

MG: 'No, it is just further away from the hedge!'

Interview with Mark Miller on Motopod, #410 here: http://www.motopodcast.com/

Miller begins @ 1:43:00. He goes on at length about how great the front brake is beginning around 2:13:00. He is very enthusiastic about the bike.

There's also an interview with Brandon Cretu in episode #409 beginning at 00:39:00.

Another point of interest- Miller and Cretu ran one engine each for the entire 2 weeks at IOM without change.

Listened to both of them. They have slightly different perspectives, but they also both like the bikes and think that they can be competitive. Interesting comments by Cretu,re: the aerodynamics of the fairing not providing sufficient wind deflection for extended high speed runs. Also interesting, they think the bike is good in power and superior to all the others in corner speed. Both remarked on the soundness of the engine. Sounds like they are both going to Macau again, and hope to be back next year at the TT.

Not surprising as they only finished one race between them, so hardly did high mileage all week.

If the bike is a good as they seem to say it is, then why didn't it perform better?

Corner speed simply cannot be that much better than the other bikes otherwise they would have posted better lap times surely?

The Isle of Man needs bikes that are built purely for that circuit, and most TT race teams would have started preparations for the 2015 TT already. If EBR/Spitlath want to really compete next yar then they had beter start planning/building NOW, and not wait until 3 weeks before the event like they did this year.
