On laborday weekend(09/03-05/2010)we loaded up the 2 Glendale Harley-Twin Motorcycles 1125R's and headed up to Tooele,Utah. This was an AHRMA event, the bikes were both entered in BOT heavywieght and sound of thunder-1.We had just finished putting Ernie's bike together in a last minute thrash and I'd like to thank,Easy(dris),Don Thutt and Shawn Higbee for their help.We split the cases and installed a new 5th gear and freshened the motor up at the same time.Amazingly there was little wear to the rings, bearings and crank.Due to budget both bikes eng.are stock.Ernie's bike does have a"Torque Hammer"exhaust and ECM tune from Easy's Twin Motorcycles.Mario's bike runs a stock exhaust and Twin Mtrcycles tune. Both bikes performed amazingly as you will note from Mario's 3rd,two 4ths and a 5th place finishes.Ernie also cut almost 10 seconds off his times from last year, which he did on his xb9R with an 1050 kit and various mods puting a wopping 88 hp to the rear wheel. The 1125R was new ground putting 130 hp+ to the rear wheel. To qoute Ernie"that bike was scarry fast, tons of pull and you best be careful with that right grip or your rear tire will spin".Ernie did an impressive 6th,7th and two 9th place finishes. This was againts some stiff competion of mostly ducati 10 and 1198R's and a custom Pierobon ducati 1000 riden by home track hotshoe,Shane Turpin.Which took all the wins(we should of taken Shawn with us).
We changed quite a few tires.
Also there was Xen Stanhope on a 1125R who also made an impressive apearance.
All in all the bikes performed well and held together. And once again we'd like to thank Easy for his pipe and tune.
We also would like to invite everyone in the socal area to Willow Springs this sunday.Theres a big thrash going on over here in glendale getting Shawns bike together so be there.

Mr. Don Thutt is a crusty, irrascable gem -
I met him at '09 BUB Bonneville event under Glendale's multi-tent
& was immediately taken by Don's no-BS approach

his shop-wise demeanor provided quite the contast to Oliver's confident, suave ways.....

Talking it over with Ernie yesterday, seems he was running too soft a tire. We're trying some different suspension settings on Ernie's bike. We'll see how they work at willow. Thanks again to Twin Motorcycles NL and Dris.
It's baby steps from here.

Thunderbike, It is the torque, on a normal 1125 Not tuned, you would probably had no problem, We noticed this with a lot of racers and our own race bike (-: The Torque eats away the side of the tyre.. It is the exhaust and tune generates hugh Torque on low RPM.

A good tyre that hold easy the torque is the Pirelli Diablo Corsa medium compound
