At NJ Motorsports park the Buell 1125RR beat Blake Young on a Yosh Suzuki and Geoff May when he raced the National Guard Jordan Suzuki twice . AT Miller the guy that finshed 4th was an AFM clubracer .

This race is huge. If you know someone who wants to pony up about $40,000 a weekend to play have them jump right in the fray.

There's a long way to go but this is an important step.

It's huge.

Ok.. Listen up you naysaying bitches!

Erik Buell Racing is not Buell of last year. It is a company of 8 or 10 people stretching their resources thin between:

1) mounting a racing effort
2) organizing a sales effort of race parts
3) doing skunkworks development for the future

8 - 10 guys. Think about that. A McDonald's restaurant has more employees.

The racing effort (only 1 out of three fronts this little company is pushing) does well in EU twins racing
decent in AMA Superbike and takes a podium in Lucas Oil Superbike competition today, with a lesser engine no less!

It just epitomizes, never give up!

That, my friends and fellow Buell fans is a fantastic achievement for a company that came together at the beginning of this year.

I will not profess to know what plans Erik Buell Racing has for the future. This result on top of other race achievement the 1125 and 1190 have accomplished this year (in the face of HD treatment and consequently solely on Erik Buell Racing's own merits) is a BIG DEAL!

It speaks volumes about what this little team of "Superelves" can achieve.

I can't wait to see what they can achieve next.

My heartfelt congratulations to the Erik Buell Racing team and Geoff May!

Go get them at Road America!

Thrilled with the finish today, and as many others have spelled out, it's a big deal.

Geoff did well and swapped places with the second finisher a number of times, it was a good race cut to only ten laps due to a red flag in the first lap! Had to wait a while for the race to start again which was a bummer, but for a first time race observer it made for great racing!

The 1190 is going to be carefully disassembled so they can figure out just where the fault was, and come back even stronger.

That 1190 airbox cover is very nice looking too, by the way, would make a sharp looking street bike...

1190 with 1125 in the back

Geoff was in second just before the red flag and one lap after before he started dropping back. This is when he was in third and before Jeremy Toye crashed. Which left him in second once again. But Chris would get around Geoff with 2 laps left when Geoff went wide and almost threw it into the gravel in front of the club house corner. I was like DAMMMMMMM!
Glad he didnt and went on to a podium.

Great job Erik Buell Racing and Geoff. You people are inspirational. What you are working so hard to achieve is not for the weak. You are proving again you have what it takes and deserve any and all accolades.

Those that doubt the enormity of what you are doing frankly never will understand. Those that do, please continue to support this effort in any way you can.

Again, well done. I very much look forward to seeing you all again in a few days.

Congratulations on the SOT victories as well.

First time rider on the 1125RR engined machine podiums is a big deal. Sounds like that with the 1190RR powerplant and some more development time, Geoff and Erik Buell Racing team will be shooting for the win.

It sure is a shame that SpeedTV refuses to cover this amazing story. What is wrong with them?

Go Erik Buell Racing!

Congrats Geoff and Erik Buell Racing. Point 1 over all is that the Erik Buell Racing bike can beat any other V-Twin (as we know)....

Second thing ist to beat the 1000 cc IL-4īs, thats another (but coming) step.

Rome isnīt build in a day.

Great Job Erik & all who are involved!

Guys, look at the Lucas Superbike challenge rules here: "www.superbikechallenge.com/rules"
for the GTO class the Buell ran in with a little under horse powered 1125R motor and see where it says "unlimited displacement and origin". There was undoubtedly some very high H.P. machines out there, and with millions of dollars of factory R&D and some factory support. In just two laps he was in second. I was there and it was outstanding! Had he been on the 1190RR I'll bet he would have been way better and maybe placed first. All you naysayers, wait and see what comes and get back to us. The best is yet to come.............Bob

I just found that site Hugh. Some of those guys taking picture being that close and with thousands of dollars in equipment is the win.
Me and my borrowed stuff and limited access cant compete. Lol
I tried though.

That picture was on the 1st lap of the race ,#25 is Dave Anthoney he crashed in turn 1 on the 2nd lap ,and that brought out the red flag . He did not restart the race after the red flag, I hope he is ok ,and is able to race this weekend at Road America . He races and runs Aussie Dave racing ,and he builds the teams bikes ,Johnny Rock Page ,and other riders race on his bikes .

Can you see the difference between your 1125R and these radiators?

Thanks for the pictures. Glad someone was over there snapping some off. After 2 days of huffing around that track, I didnt have enough energy left,I wanted to stay away from the crowds and hang at Tooele corner. Now I wish I would of went over there and met up with you. I didnt know they had to haul their tent and everything up to the pit road.
Did the World supersport guys do the same thing since their garage was in the back?

Erik told me the first bike that blew the head gasket was a hybrid 1125rr. I guess that explains the radiator setup.

I spoke briefly with EB Team a few times during the weekend. A couple of comments related to team performance: (quotes paraphrased)

EB was frustrated that the "Duc's were pulling 40 Hp more and that the Buell had to carry extra weight".

"Geoff rode the sh## out of the bike"

I asked whether team was going to run full season: "We'll try, but we need some sponsors"

Scummer - 1125 on the left, 1190 on the right.
