The .5 is the hamsters that jump out and grab the rotor |

.25 Hampsters per side and these Hampsters . . prior to deployment follow a strict Nutri-Systems high fiber diet and work out program to minimize their weight. |

These are no ordinary hamsters. These guys have been engineered by Erik to have the lightest weight and greatest stiffness of any any hamsters in the industry. These hamsters are so good that many racers on competing brands say they are cheater hamsters and should be banned. However the American Hamster Association has declared them legal under paragraph 132.5 # 4 of the AHA rule book. Despite this Dean Adams and Kevin Cameron continue to doubt. Adams has threatened to hold his breath until they are removed. Some Buellers have offered to help him by holding pillow over his face. |

OK....OK....OK..... Will Buell be brave enough to race this bike at Miller when the WBK circus land in the US ?? Does it fit the WSBK rules ??? With so many hamsters aiding braking, the ZTL2&3/4 might prove a better system than the Brembo "twin rotor" system. |

Nothing to do with bravery. I don't think these bikes will legal for WSBK. They would need to be homologated which requires 200 street bikes to be built so that can't happen. If they were legal and some one cam up with the 3-4 million bucks it would take I suspect Erik would do it. You got any spare cash? |

If I had it... I'd spend it on that effort... I'll keep buying a Mega Million ticket every now and then .... you just never know... Maybe I could get Nicky Hayden to ride it for me... hmmmm this could be fun... wish me luck! |

I see 3 scenarios : 1. Erik wants to race the 1190RR in Miller but gets rejected by the organizers due to homologation issues. Then it is the organisers to blame for being narrow minded for not letting a bike based on the 1125R street bike (like the 1198,gsxr,R1,RSV,S1000RR...)to race. Buell gets the racing world&fans sympathy for not be given the right to race his bike. If the Buell 1190RR is not allowed to race, how would it be possible for companies like Buell, Bimota, Benelli to get back into racing motorcycles ??? The rules must then be reconsidered. I would like to think that the organisers (Italians) are not that narrow minded. 2. Erik does not want to race the 1190RR in Miller. This will be a disappointment for us, Buell enthusiasts. If they do not want to race in the 2010 US round, then where and when ??? 3. Erik goes racing the 1190RR at Miller. If the 180RWHP are true, and the handling of the bike is as good as everyone involved in Buell Racing claims, then it might be a great chance to have a really great result that might surprise many people. Carlos Checa managed to win race 2 in Philip Island, riding a 2nd-rate Ducati 1198 that was 10-20Hp down on power compared to the Xerox Factory Ducatis. I would like to see the 3rd scenario...... |

There was a 4th scenario that would have been fun . . . but alas manners, integrity and decorum won out. |

I would like to point out that I am NOT that other Dean Adams (I'm the original), I do not write for a living, I build bike stuff and I really enjoy my 1125R. I also don't like holding my breath for too long. |

I would LOVE to see Erik's chassis principles in Moto2. He just has to do what he does best: design an AWESOME chassis. Everyone runs the same spec engine so it would be the chassis (and rider) that determines the best bike. What better way to prove his engineering theories than that?? |

Interesting to read all those comments about what Erik may and may not do. . . . what names he may or may not use . . . who'd have guessed their were so many legal scholars on the internet? What if Erik . . .ever the Whack-a-Mole of motorcycling . . popped up some place you never suspected? He's in the best position he's been in 26 years . . . |
