My dealer, Goe HD in Angleton,Texas is ill equipped presently and will be worse in the near future so I need an alternative. I brought my bike in early Sat. morning, May 18th. and I was told today that the earliest they will look at it is May 30th, and that's if I'm lucky. I have the extended warranty and some indy's are authorized to submit claims. Anyone know of a GOOD Uly tech in the Houston area? Thanks. | ||

I've only bought stuff from mancuso. No service work there. Haven't been in goe's in nearly 10 years and I live here. Hah, I'm not even going there on this forum. That would take a full bottle and throw the cap away once opened for a tale of that size! How close are you and whatcha got going on with xt? Been searching for a buellerbud for a while! | ||

I'm close, Sagehawk. I'm in Sugar Land and ride through Angleton often. I ride a black, BEAUTIFUL,  , XT! We'll have to get together once I get my bike's problem resolved. Jstav2012, Yes I am willing, and wanting! I realize I have been too dependent on dealers and I'm paying the price. I hope to get my bike back from the dealer tomorrow and get with a fellow Houston Bueller to look for the problem and learn from him. I will be in touch, Jstav. Thank you for the kind offer. | ||

Bought mine at Mancuso Central - never happy about the service there. Found Andy Marcer at Metric Motorcycles (one man shop - works by appointment only) a few years back to rework my forks (race tech certified) after a deer encounter on the twisted sisters. Used him since for several things - good guy - does good work. Good Luck | ||

Hootowl, the very nice and very knowledgeable Hootowl, was kind enough to drive 45 miles and trouble shoot my bike Thursday, over the phone with me first and then in person. I had checked all of the fuses but once Hootowl put a multimeter to them, something I'll do in the future, the culprit was found. My fuel pump fuse didn't blow but it had a small mechanical failure. I couldn't see it with my poor near vision but the multimeter found it. Changed the fuse and beautiful engine music lit up my garage! Those tiny little fuses can SHUT you down! I've never had one do it before, nor has Hootowl, but it can happen. Hootowl posted a picture of the fuse along with his thoughts on the thread titled the same as this one on the Quick board.
