I have an 09 xb12xt with the GB pipe. I love it but the bike is beginning to run a bit rougher the more I ride it. I want to add a filter and ECM.... I contacted EBR and they won't help me any, they just say they don't have an ECM for the exhaust. All they say when I ask if one will get close is "sorry but we don't offer an ECM for that exhaust"

Do you guys know of one that will work? If not is there another plug and play option? I am good with wrenches but this efi is making my head swim..

Wow- I'm surprised EBR didn't offer any more info than that. It seems like a safe bet that any of the race ECM's would provide better fueling with an aftermarket pipe like that. I'd probably just go with the ECM intended for a Drummer, since that'll probably be the most common.

Got pics of the pipe; does the builder have a web site?

The pipe starts out as one of these.

It's a magnaflow 11148 car muffler, 409 stainless. It's mig welded together and there's splatter all over it. Cleanup is required if you plan on putting it on a bike, they were meant for cars and typically are hidden where you'd never see the welds.

On the bike, it's pretty much like this.

Mine are a little different.

I've never seen any published closeup shots, only some that were sent to me for comparison to mine.

These are not GB built, I did it to see if I could.

The first Race pipe ever made was using an Edelbrock muffler with 2 outlets, the shop that made/had them was Latus harley, maybe they can help you with your set up.

scroll down a little bit. the exhaust in those 3 pictures was made for my now dead 08 STT. No issues with the exhaust. Wonderful sound. EBR gave the drummer tune for the GB exhaust, but my afv was around 83-85, so its a bit rich.
