Is it time to replace that mount?

The gap looks like mine.
I thought it might be bad so I ponied up the big-bucks for a new isolator... no difference in ride.

I came home and put the old one back on and the new one went back in its box.
It sits on the shelf waiting for its turn now.

It's very easy to change out once all the fasteners are broken loose.
Clutch cable P-clamp gave me the most trouble...

When the gap disappears is when the mount is shot. Looks good from here.

Thanks guys! I noticed the gap and thought it looked a bit odd.

But does that gap stay collapsed all the time once it is shot or does it depend on what stroke then engine ended on when you take the photo? In other words, does it move up and down so that sometimes the gap is normal looking and other times it is collapsed?

I think if the bike is on the side stand it pushes the mount up.
Have someone stand the bike up and have a look.
That one may be bad.
