The stock plates seem to work well for street riding. I plan on replacing mine with stock plates when they wear out. 45,000 miles and still going strong. | ||

as i'm going to install the 9 primary and reduced effort clutch part i was thinking in the mean time to replace the discs also the have 55.000 kilometers and work fine. | ||

when i write Wich it shows me like if it was wrong written The word you're looking for is "which". I'm sure you're doing FAR better with English than I'd do with Spanish! +1 for the stock plates. I seem to recall posts where someone installed aftermarket plates (Barnett?) and had problems with clutch disengagement afterward. | ||

"the 9 primary" and "reduced effort clutch part",". Never had a problem with my clutch on the 06. The 2010 I can do it with one finger but suspect it is a Muller. Cant think of a primary problem either. It will do 10mph in first with no need to slip the clutch. Amazing. | ||

reduced effort clutch by muller is quite expensive so there is this other option: http://www.ebay.com/itm/370652387283?ssPageName=ST RK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648 that is far cheaper than the muller, and it was installed on my X1 when i bought it, having a Steintert distrophy this will help me with the clutch, it makes it have a longer lever travel, but well worth it. about the 9 primary haven't tried it yet, but off all the reviews there was only one negative one, so it must be worth it, as i got all the parts needed, and will have all the stock parts, i can always revert the change if i don't like it (i doubt this). but the changes will be done in a couple of months, as i'm going to get the primary parts lightened and balanced. Also will send the sprocket to be lightened. it's not cheap but the quality of service is well worth it. | ||

Hugh, I think you were recalling my experience with a Energy One replacement clutch kit. Their friction plates were OK (Still running them 4 years later), but their steel plates are NOT the same thickness as the stock plates. Plus, they have you remove the innermost "judder" plate setup and just use another full friction plate. I could not get a proper height clutch pack with there stuff, and they stopped being helpful quickly. Ended up buying OEM steel plates from the HD dealer and also going back to the judder plate setup. All the details are posted under the Knowledge Vault in the drivetrain\clutch section, with Energy One in the title. I did this at same time as the XB9 primary gearing change, after I fried my stock clutch on some slow jeep trails. | ||

Could you describe this "judder plate"? Does it have springs on it like the tuber's "grenade plate"? |
