I've had a great two and a half years riding the XT . I'm trading it in for a new 2012 Suzuki DL1000 I got $10,500 for the Buell so the out the door price was only $1,820 .

Wow, great deal. Hard to let go of a 2010 Uly but great deal none the less. Enjoy the new ride!

I only came across my 2010 Uly by accident after my 06 one was stolen. It had been taken in as a part exchange on a new BMW and had been siting in there showroom for three months without any interest in it at all?

Knowing what it was I made an offer and paid a small deposit on it over the phone. To check the VIN and history I made some calls to the original dealer and others about the later bikes. It seems that it was then that everyone become interested in the bike. The BMW salesman was NOT very happy the day I picked up the bike. I was though.

I hope you enjoy your new bike. They'd have to give me more than a new DL1000 and $1800 to get my Uly, though.

I guess it just comes down to what you like each to their own. I like that the Uly was made in the USA but thats about it . In the summer in Texas the Uly gets really hot especially in the city while the DL runs cool and alot faster too. if you need some new Uly parts I have a bunch of new buell parts like a tall seat , drive belt ,cables, brake pads ect.

I'm interested in the belt. 14k on my 09 with the original belt. Maybe it's stretched enough by now to be kept aside as an emergency spare

Are the pads OEM?

771, Glad you found a bike that works good for you. Heat certainly is an issue with Ulys, and I'm sure its compounded in hot areas (Texas). I am still happy with my Uly, but I'm in a cooler area (Washington). Still, good to hear your candid comparison.
