Author Message   Boatz Posted on Friday, April 06, 2012 - 06:18 pm:        I was just offered this 2008 XT for $6150.00, seeing it tomorrow. Has 3900 miles. Does this look like a sound buy? Has 2010 comfort kit, new clutch cable bracket, windshield mount updates done. Also has front axle sliders, horn kit, and bar riser kit. One scuff right side bag. Will it need a 2010 wheel kit or just updated bearing kit? The one pic the pipe and engine sure look dirty, but you know how pics are they never look the same up close. He's asking 8,000. Guy has been deployed during summers is reason for the low miles. I see it at 1pm tomorrow. Also contacted blackdog, if the one 15 miles away doesn't work out his is next on the list. Shopping for HD's and Buells is different than shopping for other makes. If I wasn't keen on getting the XL engined bike, I could nail any other make in a matter of days.   Orangeulius Posted on Sunday, April 08, 2012 - 08:36 am:        I paid $5700 for my 08 with 11,600 miles on it. Traveling to Chicago to pick it up cost me another $500. So while $8000 is on the high side for an 08, you are saving transport costs since it is so close. Good luck! Hope you get your Uly soon.
