I have a Buell touring shield. After attempting to tint the thing (and ruining the coating on the plastic) I sprayed it black, just for fun. I had purchased a total of 4 windshields trying to find "the right one". My idea is, since I have all but ruined this one, we could pass it around to whomever is interested in buying one. This way you can try it to make sure it's "the right (or wrong) one".

So, long story short. I have a beat up, painted black, factory, Buell Touring shield that anyone may have for free (just pay actual shipping). We could keep track of who has it. Just pass it around when a trial period is needed.

good idea? thought? whateve?

How big is the windshield? I bought a tall one but I'm looking for more wind protection for long trips. If its a touring type I'd like to give it a try also.

I'll take for a week or so to test it out. I put about 600 miles a week on going to work and home.

I had the California Scientific on my '07 for a while. I eventually moved to the Tall screen with the Palmer brackets. With the Palmer brackets, the tall Buell screen gives me as much protection as I need and want without all the added bulk. You might just get a set of the Palmer brackets and give that a shot. He use to be a sponsor here, not sure if he still is though.

I have Palmer brackets with (I think) the tall w/s.
I stuck a piece of foam between the flyscreen and w/s to block the wind coming thru.

Now when I'm in rain or want to go above 90 mph, I tuck and my face is in still air.
