I'm surprised at how many people here have the BMW RT in the lists.

Motus ST - I have high hopes for this one
FJR - Proven sport tourer in case the Motus doesn't work out
Hayabusa - I don't think I could ride it far, but it could be fun
Multisrada 1200 Touring - probably the best replacement for my XT that is available now
R1200GS - I rode one once and wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be, but I want to ride from Key West to Dead Horse and this is likely the best bike to do that on

If we are dreaming, well I would like to be Jay Leno, for a while. He not only has tons of money, but huge garages with his own mechanics. My stable has:
`06 Uly
`95 Ducati 900SS
`85 Harley FXR w/modified FXRT fairing and bags, my version of a HD Sport/Touring bike
`00 DRZ 400e w/ plates.
What I need is time to ride more, wife, kids, come first, some of you know the deal.
There are so many bikes I like, a lot mentioned here, but I`ll throw in one I didn`t see, a Britten V1000. A very unique machine. The "list" is too huge to write here. Fun topic, though.

I rented an RT for a few days in Northern California, up Route 1, over to wine country, and back. I just found it incredibly comfortable, did great in the rain, blocked a lot of wind, and was fun in the twisties. And it looks good in red. I wish the engine had a little bit more grunt and sounded a bit meaner, but I really enjoyed it. It fit me better than the K1200GT (which definitely had grunt).
