The right fork compression screw won't adjust in or out as much as the left one. From all the way in I can't get it to adjust out to where it is supposed to be per the manual for my weight. It only rotates about a 1 turn total. Any thoughts?

Searched, but didn't find a lot...

Someone has taken it apart and gotten it out of adjustment when it was put back together. It's been a long time since I had mine apart but I believe you need to remove the top assembly, loosen the lock nut, unscrew the adjustment mech. a couple turns and tighten the lock nut against it. Sorry this is a poor description but when you get it apart you will see what needs to be done.

It is in the service manual on how to set it for full adjustment. I set mine up to book during my fork oil change. Very easily accomplished if you have the service manual.
Let us know if you need the instructions from the SM on how to do it.
Page 2-51 in Service Manual for 06'ULY. Look up under Front Fork Assembly if you've got another year manual.

Thanks guys. Guess I forgot to mention it's an '09 and still under warranty. I think it was this way when I bought it new, but I had such a good time riding it I forgot to mention it at the first, 5k, and 10k services! It was only after the 10k service when I was checking the settings after the dealer did the fork oil that I noticed it again. I've got a service manual. I'll read up on it. Would this be something that should be fixed under warranty?

If they did your fork oil service, they had it apart...and they should make it right for you.

BE NICE. Don't be a dick about it when you talk to the service guy, it'll get you MUCH further : )

Is his name Richard Cranium?

One of my fork legs was like that - a boot-camp dealer wrench did it I think.
One leg had 3.5 turns, the other had 3/4.
I also destroyed the cap getting it off when I re-filled them a couple of weeks ago.
New cap cost me 27 bucks so I just fixed it and moved on.
Reality sux sometimes...

Both legs are right now and properly adjusted.
Amazing how much better the Uly handles, it only used to be "good".

Just for accuracy, the adjuster that goes in through the fork cap is for rebound (extension) damping. The adjuster at the bottom of the fork leg sets compression.

As others have noted, the range of the rebound screw is set as the forks are re-assembled. The tech probably forgot to close the screw at re-assembly, so your old setting became the new "0" point. It is an error that should only take about 30 minutes to correct. The fork does not have to be removed.
