I lost track of which articles we've discussed here, so to err on the safe side I'll throw this out there; Has anyone seen the great interview with Eric in the latest Motorcycle Sport & Leisure magazine? It's a UK rag, issue #604, has a cover with the new Honda Adventure concept on it. It's a great article and he's really talking up the future for Erik Buell Racing. Just thought I'd mention it.

Eddy is the evil twin. Misspelling Erik Is like misspelling R.D.. Come on, It ain't that hard to get it right. If I was Erik and someone misspelled my name and I knew it, I'd sign their bike with a c. I really need to get out and ride.

Eric Buell.
George Warshington.
Shawn Connery.
It's not spelling police...it's his DAMN NAME.
I like Froggy's idea on the swear filter...but one step further. Don't just replace the C with a "*"...replace "Eric Buell" with "I'm a kumplete douchebag and don't know his name is spelled with a K".
Those Cherokees are amazing how long they run. Mine was free 6 years ago and still running fine. Change out the little things but the motor/trans/diffs are forever. CheapJeep.
Yeah, got a spare (parts) motor in the garage. Pulled its #1 piston out. Gonna drop the pan in the truck, pull all six rod caps, pop all six pistons out, re-ring all of 'em (with the "new" one from the spare motor), ball-hone the bores for the new rings, install new rod bearings and new pan gasket, and slap 'er back together again.
And that's if I'm energetic. I may very well only mess with #1.
If I paid more than $450 for it, I'd do it "right". But...it's a 4.0 - this should be enough to get at least another 100k out of it!
Actually, now that I think of it, my mom's concorde got to 240,000 miles and developed a misfire in one of the jugs. That jug had lower compression. No oil consumption though.
Since the miles were high, we didn't bother to open that engine up. We just got a junkyard engine and plugged it in.
