And people keep saying "if I'd known HD was going to shut them down, I wouldn't have bought"....why?
It's not like the dealership experience was helping anything anyhow......(most)
Most H-D(spit) dealers were missing a tremendous opportunity. |

You know most any dealer has just mediocre employees that are unenthusiastic about what they are doing due to the perceived mediocre pay they are receiving. This situation is like that in any business.
The thing that really grinds me is a high payed employee that just can't give a sheite anymore. "Oh, one of those people"
This is just my perception based on my observances. |

I went and test drove the blue 09 very close to me today.It was actually smoother at idle and acceleration than the police model I test drove a year ago. I offered him 7g and he reluctantly agreed looking at prices out there . The bike has a little over 3g miles and the 3 piece luggage. This is the X model. This guy is going through some hard times. Not a BS type of guy. Still has 1 year of warranty left as he bought it new 1 year ago. I think I am going for it.Tom |

Dude, that's a great deal. Probably the best your going to find in the Bay Area. You still get a year warranty, and spend $2000 less for 3k miles. A bike that most likely, has had it's first service.
Unless you just really want a Brand New bike, you need to go for it. |

Ya pick it up Tuesday. With all the dealer fees it would have been 10500 OTD. This one after I pay sales tax to transfer title and the fact he just paid the tags for another year will be around 7500. I can't pass that up as he has a brand new tall windshield in the box not installed plus the luggage. I won't have to spend anymore on it except maintenance. Thanks everyone for the help and advise. He had to be hurting. I could not imagine letting my Uly go for that. Good Lord, what would ever replace it for that kind of money? Best two-wheel money you will ever spend TigerTom. |
