Author Message   Mattmcc00 Posted on Monday, September 20, 2010 - 02:33 pm:        Drive belt snapped on Friday night in the office parking lot. Not a bad place to snap really. Left it there under the security cams for the night and trailered it back home on Saturday with a buddies trailer. Changing the belt was easier than I thought, just followed the steps in the shop manual, and in about an hour I was done. I put some silver anti-seize on the axel as indicated, and i smeared the middle part with some blue bearing grease, thats not in the manual but I figured it couldn't hurt. My axle threads were really, REALLY cruddy. I cleaned then out with a very small screw driver before putting on the anti-seize. mmcc   Invisible_monster Posted on Monday, September 20, 2010 - 02:44 pm:        How many miles on the belt? Including the 2,500km off-road last moth riding through Labrador.
