I'm hoping to have my XL250 back together soon! I'm looking for some sliding, wheelies, and rooster tails!

Yeah, I know that is a lot to ask from a 250, but if it rains it can happen!

Post pictures! Sounds like a lot of fun!

Gear that 250 down, it'll wheelie and roost just fine.

I guess you never have to get your seat reworked because its too uncomfortable for long trips.

Three things we rarely/never see in Florida: Blizzak tires, Subarus and Beta motorcycles.

I had a Beta 250 a few years ago. Ok for monkeying around in the yard, never got serious with it, I wasted too much time at work.

Another one of my regrets....

I have no doubt that it is plenty fun, but that must be a hopped up KLX400 to be making 50 hp.
Specs and tests I have seen for the 2009 version are about 40 hp (which is still plenty strong for that segment/size) and 283 lbs.

Either way, it would be a healthy upgrade from a 250.

I dont have the skills, that is why I am picking it up, gotta learn some how.

Not looking for a speedy woods bike, looking more for a technical trails bike, for gate bustin and fence chasin; just like when I was a kid.

hey City, we used to do that to with our yamaha enduros, pretending to to the trials thing. We got pretty good on those dumb enduros practicing trials. A few yrs. back I went the Aerostich motorcycle rally on spirit mountain in Duluth, MN. At the time they were also holding the Trials National Competition on the mountain. It was awesome watching these guys climb cliffs on those bikes and then JUMP off the cliff and everything inbetween. What a cool event. Aerostich will be having another one of these rallys in 2012.
