Just thought I'd start a thread "showcasing" my "wealth prevention plan". This is my 3rd Buell. I've owned a 2003 XB9S/Low and a 2003 XB9S along with a few BMW's, and a CBR. The Uly, however, has been my favorite. While the bike needs some attention, I am trying to stay on top of it all. I want this thread to simply share my frugal thoughts and hopefully spark some interest in lurkers. Here goes.

Bought the bike October '09 from Acme Motorcycles in Marietta, GA. She had 4500 miles on the clock. Was Barricade orange, had a top Buell/Hepco Becker box, factory Dunlops, and a tall seat.

So far, I've changed all the orange to black. Got the low seat. Bought the side bags. Bought the tall windshield, heated grips, Vision X lights, some outstanding camping gear, powder-coated the rear sub-frame satin black. Installed new Scorpion Syncs...

more to come

I just got Frank Skinner's 09 Uly a few weeks ago.
He already had PIAA road lights, a Baldwin seat, a full Outdoorsman bag set, a set of Odyssey side bags(soon to be for sale), Maximum's SpecOps heatshields, comfort kit, Palmer windshield brackets and a Buell tank bag.
I have wired the lights so both are on @ hi-beam, added supports to the Palmer brackets, added upper extensions to the handguards put on a tank bra.
She's ready to head to Homecoming, Loretta the 1125R will stay home.

I'd say I'm getting AT LEAST 2% better fuel mileage and a near 9 bHP add for the black plastics.

The 2009 and 2010 came with the bigger side stands. I believe it's a simply swap onto the older models.
