The only collector's item that comes with seven years of support.

Now that Buell has stopped building America's sportbike, each remaining bike is technically classified as a collector's item. But instead of issuing a small laminate certificate of authenticity, every Buell comes with a Harley-Davidson, Inc. backed 24-month/unlimited miles limited warranty. In addition, Harley-Davidson, Inc. has made a 7 year commitment to supply replacement and service parts at over 250 authorized Buell service locations. Which is fitting, seeing how you don't buy a Buell to put in a curio cabinet or display on a mantle.

You buy one to ride.

I got it too. Made me want to punch the screen. So totally disingenuous. I didn't need them to remind me to go out and buy one. They'll all be bought up soon enough and they can close their books. Jeez.

Worded as if Buell management said: "Well guys, it's been fun, but we've decided to stop building bikes."

Looks like they used a photo from someone's personal camera, too.

Ugh.

Reminding people that the commitment is only seven years doesn't seem like a selling point in my opinion. Especially since one doesn't buy a Buell to put in a "curio cabinet or display on a mantle." The message also seems a bit conflicted: Buy this "collector's item", but don't treat it like one? Sorry, but what a joke. The Canadian effort to address owners was much better.

Sorry I wasn't trying to stir anything up. Just thought it was interesting as many of the Buells have already been snapped up. I didn't buy mine as a collectors item but because I've always wanted a Buell, and the Uly struck a chord with me.

Got email too, even though I jumped on one the day after Armageddon.
Advertisement unnecessary: all 12X/T and Rotax were gone within days in NY and PA.
