I don't think these are going to be in dealerships until next year. Their expected delivery to the UK (only info I could find) is late March/early April.

Who said that Buell's next move was the 1125 Uly?

All the intel I have gathered said it wasn't.

I like it OK but where can you mount a tank bag and theres no pass. backrest and I still like belt drive. Will a helmet fit in those bags.

I'm not drinking the Ducati Kool aid.

If nothing else, there may be killer deals on leftover Ms's, pick up an S with the comfort seat and bags......
I would have no problem with one like this.

I think they are still trying to look like Buells...and not making it. Wild but not as refined...in looks.

Truly in the eye of the beholder, eh?. Nothing about the Uly looks or feels refined to my senses which is probably the most appealing aspect of the Uly to me. I appreciate the simplicity and rawness. There just aren't many other bikes out there that wrap that feel into a package you can live with day in and day out.

Still don't see a lick of Buell in the MS 1200 design, but that's just me. Perhaps I just need a few more chugs of that Buell-Aid to see the light!

Did Buell try to emulate a Speed Triple with the XB12S or a Benelli TNT with the 1125CR? Similarities between those bikes seem much more apparent to me than the MS 1200 and any Buell.

"Oops. AMA Sportbike. My bad."

Bigger oops?

Hmartin, I think I understand the point you were trying to make about the Multistrada and the Uly. No problem. I wasn't trying to start anything either.

But when someone makes comments like these, I have to call them on it.

"Ducati's return to AMA Superbike against Buell probably didn't go like they planned." you meant Sportbike

"competing marque that's kicking your a$$ on the track" I assume you are speaking of Buell vs Ducati?

You commented that you were referring to Daytona Sportbike and not Superbike. Ducati didn't have a team in the Daytona Sportbike class.
There were a few riders at a few races during the season that rode 848's (very few) but that's it.

Again, not trying to start anything either. Just trying to get things straight.

As for the new Multi's arrival at dealers, I would expect one until maybe next spring (don't know for fact).

Well here in the netherlands we just got the pricelist of the 2010 Ducati's

Multistrada
MTS 1200 €16.700
MTS 1200 ABS €17.700
MTS 1200S Sport €21.300
MTS 1200S Touring €21.300

These are dutch prices which include an extra tax. I've seen cheaper 1200GS adventures at dealers than the touring multistrada.

Here is the US pricing that was sent to me. I guess if you are going to compete with the BMW GS, you should be priced that way.

Multistrada 1200 standard model $14995
Multistrada 1200 standard model w/ ABS $16495
Multistrada 1200 S Sport $19995
Multistrada 1200 S Touring $19995
