Those of you running this muffler;

Are you running the Race ECM and turning the exhaust valve back on using ECM Spy? This seems to be the best route to me.

Thanks for any info,

Mark

Based on the Special Ops muffler I've got, doesn't matter if the valve is hooked up or not as both outlets from the valve just dump exhaust into the large cavity of the muffler. I think the only advantage of keeping the valve is that you've got somewhere to attach the cable. I put a Buell Race muffler on my bike and tore out the cable. I'm selling my Special Ops muffler (too loud), so if anyone is looking for one, let me know.....

Stock ecm with no ecmspy tuning. Valve functions as stock. Works perfectly and not too loud. I get compliments every day from other riders about how nice it sounds.

Correct. The valve can remain connected on the Special Ops, but it doesn't do anything. It's just so you can leave the servo in place and not worry about the check engine light.
