Don't bother, HIDs make PIAAs look as dim as your cell phone screen. Anyway, I had both the 1100x and 510's, both are nice and help, but get next to no use since putting on HIDs. | ||

HIDs work great for me also but that extra light bar looks way cool, kinda like a chrome-less Road King! | ||

Had the 1100X on a beemer...not worth the money, buy the Optronics with MR16 lamp at Wally World for $20 amazing....mount them up on your forks and you have all the extra light you need. | ||

I put PIAA 2192's on mine. They have a narrow 15 degree spread which allows me to really light up the road surface about 100 ft ahead. My biggest concern is debris on the road (hitting a 4x4 at 70 already cost me a front wheel) and I have found these to work pretty well. | ||

I picked up these at Meijer (the wal-mart of Michigan) for around $20. They have replaceable 55 watt ultra white bulbs. I made my light bar out of 3/16 steel bar stock, powder coated black. It all works great at a fraction of the cost of PIAA's. Just look around, there are tons of good quality driving lights out there that are relatively inexpensive. However, it all comes down to personal choice!  | ||

I've got to get around to installing my H.I.D. lights . . . I went with the high end PIAA and am still not thrilled. I really like LOTS of light. That Luma-Link is a nice looking bracket. | ||

I have the 510 ATP lights, mounting is similar to the picture in Shopguy10's post. This light pattern is great for both on and off road. You can buy lights for $20, but the problem is you only get $20 lights. The PIAA are first rate. Install took about an hour or two. Good luck, John | ||

"You can buy lights for $20, but the problem is you only get $20 lights" Not true John...the Optronics lights may only cost $20 but the lamp is the the MR16 50 watt halogen which is one of the most efficient and popular halogen lamps manufactured today and is available in various beam angles to suit your specific application. Many more wattage choices and beam angles then the PIAA halogen lamps. PIAA undoubtedly makes a good housing for their halogen lamps in many configurations and charge a high price to boot. There are many other choices in the market place and the Optronics at $20 for a pair is a great bargain that provide excellent quality halogen lighting at a 1/10 the price of the PIAA. You can find replacement lamps at any Lowe's or Home Depot as well for $5, a great bonus if have an issue while on a tour. | ||

HID on low beam. Two 55 watt driving lights and one std high beam. Direct battery power with relays for all. HID is on for low beams. All are on for high beam. Lots of light! I am thinking about adding an HID to the high beam. The digital unit starts very fast, since the aux lights are on already, it may work fine. The driving lights are Hella Optilux 1500 purchased at rallylights.com. They have a good selection of quality lights at good prices.  | ||

Here is my configuration with the PIAA ATP lights. I have added headlight protection film to both the stock and the PIAA lights. I really like this setup, the beam pattern is great for back roads and off road.  | ||

I've got dual HID's in my bike but I'd like to add some yellow fog/driving lights that are mounted down near the half fender/wheel, not above the duck bill. Riding in the Alps at night is a bit spooking and you can hit a patch of fog at any moment, especially when you get a bit further north into Austria and Germany. These brackets would do the trick but at what price? | ||

PIAA 510's are a great option for the Uly and PIAA makes about four or five different varieties of the 510's. Amazon has some great prices: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CTZGEI I have the 912 fogs (which are no longer available) with amber bulbs which I use as my conspicuity lights. . | ||

I installed the PIAA Cross Country HID's and love them. I rode all through Montana for a week did a lot of night riding and my PIAA HID's lit up the road. They are so bright you really have to aim them right or you'll piss off oncoming traffic AND the poor soles in front of you. I made my own bracket out of round stock and just took it right out of the tumbler, thought it matched the look of the bike so I didnt bother painting it.  | ||

I ordered the light bar that goes on the police bike. When I get it in I am going to see what lights will fit on it best. I may look at the once from Trail tech. I hope it gets here soon! | ||

I have the light bar from the XP and I'm putting on the Optronix to start with. Still will need some modification to make them work. | ||

They get a little muddy from time to time where I have them mounted but in this position they put out a great light pattern. It would be nice to have these and a light bar set-up.  | ||
