Does anyone have the outside diameter of the 06 forks - need to know that to order light mounts, and the bike is a thousand miles away from me at present (on vacation in the snowy North, bike is at home. I swear I have seen it here somewhere but I sure can't find it.

Been in the same situation and had my dealer measure for me. BTW they are fantastic North Country in Augusta Maine.

The measurement is 6.875"

This is what I used when I ordered my Motolights.

PS That's the circumference, not the diameter

Thanks - using math I got 2.188 (circumfrence/PI), your reading confirmed my shady geometry memory is somewhat working!

I was just looking at the lumalink brackets so I had just measured the fork to send the guys an e-mail to see if he made a bracket for the Uly. Using a string I measure right at 6 5/8" circumferencehttp://www.lumalink.com/lumalink_brackets.html

I also had sent them an email - James from Lumalink responded that they are closed until the 3rd, but he is checking email. In his reply it sounded like no problem to make them - he also said they are 1 inch thick, which is pretty cool

Hi Josh - just about there, and will have pics this week. I got the mounts a couple of weeks ago but first had to install ceramic headers and do the triple clamp swap. The mounts are very nice quality and are just the look and function I was looking for. Inside diameter is the tricky part (outside dia. of fork.) I ordered mounts with a 54 mm inside dia. - since the uly forks are not the same diam along the upper leg getting the right fit with a location that is not impaired by the turn signal is the challenge. Won't be too hard and I think they will look great.

I started fitting the lights tonight here as a reminder is the link to LumaLink:

http://www.lumalink.com/lumalink_brackets.html

James Gordy of Gordy Tools owns this and they have been very good on the communication side. By the way these aren't cheap at $180 but they are very nice.

Here is where I was on Saturday:

OK a shameless brag on changing out the triples (and the header just prior)

Here are the LumaLinks - I will need to reposition them lower which will require a rubber gasket I think as forks narrow just below where they are currently placed:

a little closer...notice the fabulous zip tie work....

and sans lights

I think the trick with this type of mount is predetermining exactly where you want them, measure the fork diameter at that point and then have James make them. Still, they will work just fine as is (54 mm inside dia.)I am going to wire them up at this current location and see how they shine and adjust from there.

A quick redesign - I lowered the mounts and will mount the lights under the moutn (they are pre drilled/tapped for 10 mm bolt. A piece of inner tube inside the mount made it fit like a dream.
