Xbimmer, there have been failures on bearings replaced by dealers. Just saying.

Court, saw your posts before you deleted them, I will keep an eye out.

I for one would like to add a 'protected' wiring harness with splices only in places that don't move, as an item of interest. I hate to jump on the 'bichenwagen', but my '06 has now had 15 separate wire issues and or failures.

My wheel bearings made it 33,000 miles, so I don't qualify that as a failure, just used up.

I am on my fourth front engine isolator. Had to do the BAS once, then move it, then replace it again. It has been fine since. The good news is my original wireform clutch cable retainer is doing fine. And for some nearly known reason, I still am really into this bike!

Yeah I know that, but failures on new low-mileage wheels too never touched by dealers.

AHrrr, too many color choices, giving me a head-ache. Maybe I better stick with black, I don't wash it anyway. Hmm, does PIRANHA or VILLAIN black match my 08XT black rims?
Steve, Is there enough room for the third bearing?
Now if someone would buy my highwheel for a G-note, I could upgrade my uly. And have a RSS.

I'd rather take my chances on bearings pressed in in China than by a dealer, and I think so would Buell.
My guess is that this is more related to all the bearing changes, and not wanting to have to keep purging old inventory.

A factory setting (even in China) is still better than hundreds of individual dealers, when it comes to a consistent assembly process and tools.

Assembly in China had nothing to do with why my rear wheel bearings got water in them and were on their way to destruction.

You checked them after they got here from China to insure they were dry inside?
