Has anyone seen a table listing what Buell considers a "critical fastener"? I checked my '07 shop manual. Critical fasteners are a 10K mile service interval item, but Buell neglects to define which fasteners.

Are the '08 or '09 manuals any better?

My fall back plan it to use my Harley manual. That manual has a nice table.

I think you are taking the manual a bit too literally.
Critical = anything you really DON'T want loosening while you are coming into a tight decreasing radius a bit too hot!

Here is my list (just made it up):
Steering head
Fork pinch bolts
Axles & drain plugs(but you probably already touch these a lot more than 10k)
Frame structural fasteners (footpegs, rear subframe, etc)
Brake mounting (caliper and rotor)

You could add more, like cyl hd, etc, but I am not willing to tear the bike apart to check these. I would/do check them if I am already in the neighborhood for some other reason.

I never even noticed the critical fastener comment in my '06 SM, but I think this falls under legal cover-your-butt lingo, and is just plain good practice for anyone doing work on their bike.
