The more I search BadWeb on this topic, the more I become confused.

I have the side and top case rack that is OEM on my '06 Uly. I don't want to use a Buell or Hepco & Becker top case.

Instead, I want to mount a Mil Spec case such as a Pelican or the like:

SKB case

I understand that there is just the mounting kit available, part #92050-05Y ($80, chicagoharley.com)

Does anyone know what this looks like? Are there other, cheaper options for mounting a case to the OEM rear rack that people have successfully employed?

Thanks very much!

- Scott

You can use the Palmer rear rack with that

To clarify -

I want to use the '06 stock rear rack with a Pelican-style case.

Hoping to have just the rear carrier option soon, maybe a week or 2!

Part number 92050-05Y is the rear luggage rack not the mounting hardware. You are probably looking for the mounting clamp assembly. Check the H-B site as they sell the mounting clamps/ keys separately. (that is what I'm using on my rear Pelican case)
H&B part number for the front clip is 710.128
H&B part number for the latch/key is 700.102
You might also need the plastic spacer for under the latch, they list two different ones, but I don't remember offhand which one I bought.

I bought a givi style top case with a universal mounting plate bracket. Long story short, it fell off during a 4 mile ride down the freeway never to be seen again! I still have the bracket, but the case is gone. I will be going to one similar to the one posted and will mount it to make sure it does not come off.

Prowler - Those parts are exactly what I need. Do you have an online source for H&B parts?

I also got your PM and responded. The pics will be helpful. If it's OK with you, I'll post them in this thread to help anyone else.
