I recently purchased a Garmin Nuvi 750 but the power adapter that came with it only fits the suction cup base. Where can I find a power cord for my Uly? Amazon shows one but doesn't say that it is exactly what I need. Help please.

Is this what you need?

No. That came with my unit and plugs into the suction cup base. What I need is the cable that plugs into the usb port on the gps. Amazon has something that looks like it will work but the photo isn't descriptive enough and the product description doesn't say "usb" so I'm left to guess. I feel sure that's what I need but was hoping that someone here had already bought one and could say for sure that's what I need. Thanks, Froggy.

+1 on contacting Garmin, but I did not think the Nuvi's could be powered directly off 12v adapter (without going through the car cradle).
I thought that was one of the points of the Zumo series.
Even on the Zumo, you do not directly plug in 12v power to the GPS. You still go through a separate cycle cradle that comes with it.
I believe you can only power/charge the unit directly through a USB connection(?).

That depends on the model, I bought some 265WT's before xmas, they are powered from a 12v outlet directly into the USB port. The cradle on the windshield is just a plastic clip and a suction cup.

I found the answer after I called Garmin. The RAM mount that I bought is designed to allow the cables to attach to the cradle after you attach the cradle to the unit. All I have to do is plug and go, it was simpler than I thought it was going to be and the only thing I still need is a spare 12v cable from the power to the unit. Sorry if I stirred the pot before it boiled but thanks for the answers. I'm happy now.
