In doing the turn signal conversion from bulb to LED I noticed all this text embossed on the tinted covers and thought it was just ugly. Maybe it's my excessive/compulsive disorder but I sanded it off and buffed it out. It should have a better pattern with the LED's now. Show your Uly you care and it will repay you.  | ||

I wouldn't consider my lenses ugly but that looks like a nice result. What sanding medium and buffing medium did you use exactly? | ||

used 220 on a 1/4 sheet power sander to remove the letters, then 600 wet or dry with water and that leaves a milky haze. Then I used Novus #2 (red bottle) polish and a scratch-free polishing cloth, available at my Buell dealer, to make a glassy shine. Took about 5 min each. I also removed a couple gouges off the face of my Inst. cluster. That Novus stuff really works great, windscreens, helmet shields, even DVD's shine up good! | ||
