Glitch

I needed to borrow Charlie's (New12r) rear stand.
He had lost the red rubber tubes that help grip the swingarm.
Ann had some sort of grip drawer lining rubberish mat stuff.
I cut a couple strips, and tied it to the posts with twine to keep the bike from sliding off the stand.
Little did I know Charlie was going to LOVE the stuff. He said Ulys were very difficult to lift with a rear stand.
We put his bike up on the stand, and it was VERY sturdy.
He said I ought to post it up here.
I had no idea the Ulys weren't rear stand friendly...now they are ; )
It's this stuff.

Ann said you can even find it at the dollar store.
Hope this helps someone.
I'll see if Charlie will post a picture.

i'm glad someone found a use for that stuff, every thing in the cabinet tends to stick to that stuff.

Glitch, thanks for the idea! Charlie is right, the Ulys are difficult to lift without sliding off the stand. This will make life easier.

Other than the Dark Horse Moto Spool/Sliders, I don't think so.

Also, I haven't had any issues with sliding on either T-rex or Pitbull stands.

They work great. Easy on / off and very sturdy.

Somewhere on Badweb, someone posted about using that stuff on the seat to keep the passenger from always sliding forward into him when braking.
