Aussiexbox: That's exactly how mine started out. For a couple of weeks was able to bring the the other zipper next to the part that was separating, then zip the bag up. Unfortunately for me, one of the teeth came loose and now I have a complete failure of the zipper mechanism since it's now off the teeth and I can't seem to get it back on. Wayne |

Hey Froggy - If I tuck in anymore I wont be able to see over the handlebars. Changed the windshield to Palmer brackets & a 16" parabellum - only problem now is my wife has to sit on the pillion instead of the handle bars - gave new meaning to "2 up". With the stock windshield had to remove airbox & filter to get my head low enough. j |

It seems to occur when the pressure is at the corner section of the zipper,I'm not sure of how many Australian bag failures there have been since I bought this bag from the States from Ebay, from a Buell dealer of course. I have asked around to see if I can repair it. Court as for your question, mine has been on the bike(Only for rides) for approx 12 to 14months,maybe a little longer,i'll respond to your link as soon as I can. That picture is of the left hand rear side looking at the bag from the seat,if you get what I mean. Cheers Phil |

Court - are you interested in generic Buell soft luggage issues as well? I'm way over warranty, and not too terribly worried about it in the long run, but I've had tons of issues with my saddle bags and wedge tailbag ( if you recall, I sent you photos a while back about where the straps had chafed at the wiring harness, even) General observations, based on my original Buell Tankbag, Tail ( wedge) bag, and saddlebags for the CityX / Lightning. - 6 months ( 20,000km) seems to be about the useable lifespan of the zippers - zipper seals seem prone to seperating, and fouling the zips - same issues as the tank bags - zipper teeth seperate from the backing. - velcro straps either side of the rear wheel are a BAD idea ( get clogged with dust after just a couple of weeks driving) - velcro under-the-seat adjusters dont hold tension on road trips...I found I HAD to adjust them about every 250km, or the bags would start to flap on bumps. just some more fodder for you to pass on to the luggage dept, I guess. |

I plan on buying the Wolfman Expedition Tank Bag on page 72 of the new Aerostich catalog. They are waterproof and zipper free. |
