I'm looking into a transporter company to ship my XT from California to Florida in the next couple of weeks. While it would be nice to have the time to ride to FL it isn't going to happen. Does anyone have a company to recommend (or not recommend)? Thanks. |

Horseless Carriage specializes in moving (exotic and star owned)cars without damaging them. Don't know if they do bikes but it worth looking for their website. |

I had a Sportster delivered to Central Massachusetts from L.A. by Daily Direct. They did a good job, and the bike needed no special prep work. I'd use them again without any reservations. |

I'd do it for a plane ticket. |

818; no, they have a specially set up trailer with a lift gate. They picked up the bike at my friend's house and delivered it to mine. It was that simple. Their phone # is 1-800-HAUL BIKES, if you need more info. As I recall, they were reasonably priced; but that was in 2002; before the price of oil went nuts. |

Forward Air is a good bet. Deliver the bike to a nearby airport, put in their metal container and pick-up at the airport in Florida. |

We used JC Motors to ship a Uly and a Triumph Tiger from Seattle area to North Carolina to ride the Parkway and ship both bikes back home again. They picked the bikes up at our house, put them on pallets and the bikes arrived in perfect shape in NC about 10 days later. Cost was about $700 per bike each way. I'd use them again. http://www.motorcycleshippers.com/index.htm |
