Not sure if this is the right place or if this has been talked about yet, but I figured I would put it out there. I went to swap my wind screen on my 08 XT and the dam little rubber grommets that hold the bottom broke...... So I called up the local shop and they are 15 bucks a set. WTF???? for two little pieces of cheap rubber???? I bit the bullet and tell him to order them and call me when they get in. As he tries to place the order the recall comes up and says that I need to talk to service and tell them recall number B086. So now it's free and they get to do it!!! I will not be dropping the bike off for this one. I'm pretty sure they can do it while I wait.......... So if your grommets are bad call the dealership and tell them the code. I think it's only for 08 models. YMMV. | ||

Eay fix. But I am laughin because I bought all the XP parts for the cop Uly and when I got the bill for the spacers I about went into defib. Kind =a funny in a way . . and the economic reality of ordering a low volume part. I need to post a pic some day. They were like $18 for what looked like two 1" pieces of soda straw. | ||

Yea, I know how easy it is, but I'm with you! 15 bucks for that???????? Well if it's on recall you can give me the part and fix it yourself!!! Funny thing is, they won't let me fix it myself. While they take care of your recall, ask for Mike Miller (Mikethebike72) at Ray Price. He's on C3 and does warranty claims and runs the Rider's Edge Program at Ray Price. He's a good guy to know! |
